Default LD4B Intake...any good?

Hey all, i have the oppurtunity to buy a edelbrock LD4B intake fairly cheap, but I was wondering how it would do on my engine? How does it compare to an edelbrock performer (non RPM) intake?

Engine:

360 ci .020 over
302 heads (ported)
10.2:1 Comp
268/218/.454 hydraulic cam
727 auto trans 2200 stall
8 3/4 rear end w/3.55 gears LSD
no carb yet but planning on a 750cfm

Thumbs up

I have the "brother" to the LD4B, the LD340, on my 340. I love it. The ld4b was actually made for the smaller port 273 and 318's, therefore the ports will not match up properly for you.

Maybe you could match the ports, if there is enough material.

These LD designs made excellent power throughout the rpm range. I would buy it, even to resell, or trade.

the LD340 actually carried a factory part number. I belive they were made in the Trans-Am effort era.
This thing has awesome torgue, right up over 6000 RPM.

There was a manifold comparison test in a magazine. The LD340 was better than most, and equal to anything out today.

Sorry Chache- I didn't notice till now-you are running the "302" heads. That manifold might be ok after all.

Mopar to ya.

Gasket match it. The stock 360 iron intake makes more power than the 318 sized Performer. The LD will do better than either one.
