If you go to the larger u. joint you will have to change the rear yoke. The only way around it is to get the u.joint that has the small size on one side of the cross and the larger size on the other, then you won't have to change the yoke. My only question would be, why put a large u.joint on the front of the driveshaft and then a mixture at the rear? Murohy's Law being what it is the weakest link will be the rear u.joint. Best to change the rear yoke and not worry. You can buy the yoke at a dealer or most driveshaft repair shops have access to them from outside vendors.

Be warned a mixed u joint big+small will be no stronger than a small joint the center is the same size as the small one only with bigger bearing cups on one side. The bastard joints as they are sometimes called are a quick fix for joining mis matched parts.I broke 3 sets on my 383 Ramcharger 4x4s rear, then I found the proper axel for it,never happened again.Ron B.(MOPARtilDEATH)
