Default distributor

Im thinking of buying a mopar performance billet electronic distributor part#MOPP5249776. I have the stock set-up and was woundering if the billet would hook up to it. I tink I have the vacuum advanced. Would it be better the buy the billet? Would it increase performance? thanks

send your distributor to Don. He will tune it to out perform the billet and it will cost less.

Default money to burn

The stock distributor will do the job just fine.
It may however require some tweeking.
But all in all is a good peice.

Do you not think that the ball bearing shaft support that most billet dist. have means anything. Not sure of the MP dist but the MSD has them.

For most of us here on this board the stock or MP performance cast distributor will work fine once reworked and curved to your application, now add out new Ignition kit and you've got a very powerful and very reliable system that will take you down the track consistantly every pass.

I guess I would recommend an Ignition system above ours if you are running over 7000 RPM and quicker than 11.00, below that I would think that your buying more flash than spark.

MSD, Blaster Coil, Wire set, distributor curve, Billet Distributor....about $6-700 ???? 5 hours to install?

Or our Xmas special..Cap, Rotor, ECU, Coil, Stage 2 distributor and a MSD Wire set.....all for $279.95 including freight to lower 48... 2 hours to install.

Of course if money is no object ....
