Default Engine swap big block or small

I have just purchased my first classic Mopar after owning multiple dodge trucks. I have a 68 barracuda convert. with a slant 6 motor. That wont be in there long. I debating on 340-360 sb or I can obtain a 440 real cheap with a 727 trans. I know the BB will need to be shoehorned in, but how difficult of a swap is it? I know I will need to make provisions for the added weight and probably a rear end change. The car will be a weekend rubber burner only.
