Help Speedometer is off

Where would I go to look for different speedo gear (I think that is what you call it)?

Since I've put in a "new" rear with 4.10 gears, my speedo is way off. It used to be about 10 mph off with the 25" tall tires, but now I can't even estimate when I'm driving.

Is there a place I can get this type of part? I don't know where to begin on this. Thanks.

You can get speedo gears from your dealer and they have a chart with tire and gear sizes on them so you can pick pretty close the first time around.

This is based on the formula that I posted in the Tech Forums.

25" diameter with a 4.10 gear comes out to 43.34 teeth. So 43 teeth will have the speedo running just a little fast (very close to actual). The PN for a 43 tooth speedo gear is P2538943.

Also, don't forget to properly index the speedo gear (see pic at the bottom of this).

Just use the tach....
40 MPH = 4800 RPM
60 MPH = 5800 RPM

Now that's a gear!

Not my gear.

So does Year One sell them? I have a catalog at home...I need to get a headliner too, so I'll take a gander when I get home.

Thanks!
