New Rams
Does anyone have a new 2500 Ram 4x4 with a HO Diesel? If so how do you like, does it pull good, have plenty of power? And what a 1500 4x4 with the HEMI? Thanks

What about a 1500 with a hemi? I assume you are asking the same questions about it as you are about the 2500.
"Pull good and plenty of power" are subjective. What you think is pull good and plenty of power is not necessarily the same as I think. My '03 and ordered '04 are 2wd. Don't really need a 4X4 down here in the Florida Keys. My '03 hemi "Runs good", but doesn't have the power I think it should. It won't spin a tire even with a 3.92 axle. Pulling my bike trailer with two Harleys (3300 pound) out to Sturgis this summer, my fuel mileage sucked! If I tried to run xway speeds, 70, I got 10 mpg. I tried running 60 and only went to 11. Tried running speeds to keep up with traffic in South Dakota (75 to 80) and got 9! Of course the crap that passes for gasoline in SD is that gasohol stuff. Running 70 to 75 empty the truck gets about 14 to 15. Lousy fuel mileage. Others report much better. Look at my sig and you'll see my opinion of the hemi! |
