express truck engine suggestions ?
I have a 78 Express truck that I hope to get to work on in the spring....I would like to start with the engine and tranny.....Here is the challenge to you fellows....(and ladies I hope also..)
I would like to greatly increase hp for the street....But I want the external appearance to be stone stock.. . Now I dont want to go to the nats and fool judges, but I want to stick with the stock intake/ex-manifolds...stock looking pipes....you know, look like a clean, non-professional but nicely done home restoration.... I have heard good and bad on extrude hone...I assume a good machinist could make improvements with port and polish and port matching....But what would you suggest?? I think the stroker cranks would be a great idea...but can the induction system flow enough to make it worth while?? Thoughts, suggestions,????? Whatcha think ? |

it'd be neat to see a cummins in a lil express, pulling a gooseneck racing trailer (enclosed) with a hopped up MoPaR inside...
