They work only to put money in their pockets as proven by our local tv news testing.

ASK yourself this..........how the hell could it work ??

It causes turbulence before the air and fuel are mixed. So like a dirty air filter - it will make the carb go RICH.

So HOW does that improve MPG ?

Carb manufactures, and engine builders are always polishing and porting something to increase air flow and stability in air flow and to increase air speed. This thing create turbulence. IT will lower the throttle responseof any vehicle and cause less air flow through your heads making the engine work twice as hard to make the power it made without it. It will burn almost twice the fuel your car uses now.

If it really worked, don't you think that the auto manufacturers would be using it.

Yeah they WORK, but only if you put magnets on your fuel line to line up the gas molecules. All the rides at the Carnival uses them.

They do. But only if you're going around in circles.

Put a crimp in your fuel line, it will do the same thing as a tornado for free.

I don't know if I can manage that. Do they sell a kit for crimping just fuel lines? Would that be for a rubber line or a steel line?

Tom,
Just so happens I can sell you a crimping kit. If you have rubber lines; the kit consists of 2 quarters and a vise grip. Squeeze the line between the 2 quarters until you achieve the desired fuel economy. Leave the vise grips on unless you need more power on the weekends. This is my variable mpg kit which retails for 129.95.
If you happen to have steel lines I'll send you the non-variable kit. This will consist of 2 quarters and a 16 oz. ball peen hammer. Carefully place the line between the quarters and tap with the hammer until you achieve the desired economy. Be careful that you don't sacrifice too much performance for economy as this method is irreversible. Retail price 59.95.
Beware of cheap imitations, there is only one genuine mpg crimp kit and I hold the patent. As this is a owner installed kit, actual results will vary.

The Tornado things work best after draining the oil from your motor and freezing it in a block of ice beofre starting it up in front of a bunch of freezing people who want to be on T.V...

But, the best mod is adding a fyoobulator right in front of the muffler bearings to REALLY increase exhaust flow.

I figure it like Ehostler does. If they worked the gov. would probably have them phased into efficiency standards for manufacturers.

I ran across one on ebay for my 2001 dakota 4.7 . I t was cheap so i figured why not. It increased mileage from 17 1/2 to 18 . 17 1/2 was the most under any conditions previously. 18 is in town & highway. It did not reduce throttle response or power in any way. Not much of an increase, but it did increase. This is going by the trip computer. Just my experience

I know that changing gears to throw off the speedo is the BEST way to increase MPG. It just changes the math (a little).

I've had 3 friends that have used them and all have said that they helped. Different responses from all of them on the affect, but ALL 3 had good results. All of the were fuel injected though so not sure on a carb

No i am not selling them on ebay. Have you ever tried one? If not then you cannot have any knowledge on their performance.

HOW can that work ?

The principle of HOW it works is to restrict the free-flow of air.

How does this help mpg ?

Don't take this posting of mine too seriously, ...
but wouldn't it be better to put something like this in the plenum area to help atomize the fuel in the mixture?

Kinda' like a food prcessor for fuel

LOL

Roger - DODGER - that.......... to help the A/F mizture BUT -

this will only work IF you have very POOR atomization of the fuel....and with F I that is not an issue at all.

BUTTT if someone wants to believe a muffler bearing decreased their back-pressure THUS giving them more mpg .....

GO for it !

That's the answer!

I'm going to Target and buying a fan, wiring it for D/C, and buying a huge hood scoop to cover it!
