starter help
I bought a lakewood bellhousing on line and when I when to bolt up my new gear reduction nippo. starter, the starter gear was 1/2 inch out from the ring gear.
Even in the inner bolt holes, the starter was too far out from the ring gear. The starter will hit the block when trying to set the teeth to mesh properly. A friend was telling me that he thought the hemi bellhousings were different and took a different starter with the bellhousing. Can anybody help me on this or have any ideas? |

Sounds like you have a bellhousing for an 11" clutch and a flywheel for a 10-1/2" clutch.

Are the hemi's the only one's to get the 11 inch clutches?
Are they different then the 10 1/2 inch scallope clutch flywheels? Is there anything I can do to get this bellhousing to work with this flywheel short of buying a new 11 inch flywheel? |
