Default Lift The Rear End???

Hey everybody in MOPAR land. How the hell do i got about lifting my 75 new yorker 2 door. i thinks just huge like the bumper is as high as my chest. I wanna put the axle underneath the leaf spring, i understand that it would be really hard, but who cares. I don't want air shocks becasue they are to much money, i just wanna know how to put the axle under the car and flip it around so the perch is still under the leaf, any info/comments/ideas, anything would be great. even if im out of my mofo mind. thanks a ton- jack

save your time and just make some 6 inch shackles out back. Dont forget to buy a longer brake line and some longer shocks.

Question What!?!!

What possible gains are you trying to gain from this? This will throw off the geometry or the whole car. If you think it handles bad now just wait and try after you try this stunt.

This IS sarcasm, right?
(just checking)

No shocks is downright dangerous on a normal height car, can't even imagine how many times the car would swap ends with the mods that 75 wants to do.....!!!!!!!!!

Please don't jack up the rear like some sorry 70's style ride. I sure hope this is a joke.

Seems like a lot of work to make your car dangerous on the street. I think you would get less negative comments if you spray painted the whole thing and added disco balls.....
Seriously, If the rear is dragging and you need to pick the bumper off the ground, I would go for helper leafs and maybe coil over shocks. Extra length shackles will put off the rear end geometry....
That car should be about 5400 lbs?. Not something to loose control of....

Unhappy been there, done that..............

75, I did that same thing with my 5th Ave. because i put a van rear end under it. the axle was too wide, so I put the perches on top of it to mount it under the springs. Oh it definatly raised the back of the car up! Ask everyone here on the board, it was very "hokey" looking.
The worst part about it was the wight transfer absolutly SUCKED! all it would do is sit-N-spin.
I have since re welded new perches on the bottom of the axle, put everything back the way it should be, had some cop car wheels widened to 10" (all backset) and all is well. including making those 295/50-15s hook up
Good luck
5th
