Default Will this Combo Work?? Need Guidance!!

have a cut 360 Crank "3.58 stroke" I would like to use this in my .40 over 318, but I have some questions.
1.What kind of clearance issues in the block do I need to address.
2. What kind of Balance issues.
3. I will have to use stock sluggs. Will the stroker crank give me more compression then I would get with a stock crank?
4. I will be using 302 heads in the un-milled 318 block, what will my final compression be??
5. How do you think this cam will work in this motor??
Comp XR-268
The specs are: advertised duration: 268°/280°

Duration @ .050" 224°/230°

Valve lift: .477"/480"

Lobe sep.110°

The motor will not be used for a track car but a daily driver, canyon carver.

It would be way cheaper and easier to just find a 360 block to go with it. You will need custom pistons, harmonic balancer and flywheel or torque convertor balance.

The cam I would guess would idle with about 12" vac in a 360 with some lope. Nice all around cam.

You need to take some measurements, to see if it will work.

How far down in the hole is the piston, currently?

345dart and I worked out the math on doing it to a stock bore 318, using the stock slugs, and got around 10.5 :1 comp.(a little more than the 8. something it started at)

I'm not familiar with the chamber on the 302 head. Is it closed anywhere? If so it won't work, because the deck height will be positive when done.(CRUNCH)

If you just throw it together it must be quite a bit cheaper than a rebuild. No bore, only a crank grind, and a set of rings brgs and gaskets.

Important to check for valve to piston clearance at time of assembly too. You may need to have valve reliefs cut in the pistons.

I would definately suggest a balance while it's apart. A good machine shop should be able to get it to balance internally, and still use the same converter and dampener you did with the 318.

The 10.5:1 I worked out was using 72cc heads. if you use 302 which I believe are closer to 56cc you will have closer to 12.1:1.
The stock piston sits ±0.110 in the hole. With the 360 stroke and the same piston the top of the piston will sit ±0.030 above the deck. You could have .030 milled off the pistons for zero deck height but the 302s will still give you too much compression for a street engine to run on pump gas. The combo will work with a set of 360 heads (ie. 308s, 915, 576, 874) that have ±70cc in stock form.
Otherwise, you need different pistons to bring the compression down.
As far as clearances - We haven't got that far. Maybe some else can comme
