I like the Holley Strip Dominator, it is very similiar to the MI single plane and can be had for much cheaper on Ebay or swaps. The Torker has a less than ideal port entry angle and a huge bolt relief in the 3,4,5,6 runners. The other two have a much smoother radiused path into the ports.

pishta, what bolt relief are you talking about? big or small block.

The Torker II 340 dosen't do to bad in the HP department at all. It lacks torque as compared to the 6pak or RPM. But thats a single plane intake for ya.
Good for mild street rods. Swaps should have them between $50 and a $100 bucks condition pending. A decent intake on the cheap.
The M-1 should be much better all around.

What about the Victor 340 or one of the Indy singles planes? I have been seriously considering the Edelbrock? Does anyone know the runner lenght of either?

I was refering to the original LA Torker and to some extent the Torker 383. The newer Torker 2's and the RB's dont show it as much.

But, Mopar has always said the HSD didn't need any fuel distribution popsicle sticks whereas the M1 would gain a few HP with the sticks.

No. Clearly not the same mold. Holley Strip Dominator has defined runners as in you can see the "seam" between the 1-3 runner and the rest , the M1 has 4 solid runners with no "seam". Although trivial, it is not the same mold. Couldnt tell you more, I have a picture of my old Strip Dominatored mill and a picture of a new M1 single plane. It almost looks as if the M1 runner volume is larger too. SD also has a vacuum port off the #1 Runner
