Question

I have a 74 Charger w/318, auto(904) and 2.76 gears.

When I accelerate, it will rev from idle to about 2000 rpm, then it seems to "stall". The revs stay at 2000 and the acceleration stops for about 2 seconds. Then it will resume reving to about 4000 rpm, where it stops pulling, which is when I shift to second gear.

I have more tools than brains or experience, so any help is appreciated! Thanks.

Sounds like a tranny problem. My 72 Charger did the same thing when it had the same set up. Shortly after that, I lost 3rd gear, then revers, then 2nd, then I gave up and got a 727.
