Heat insulation and sound deadening
I'm searching for a good sound deadener and heat insulation to cover the floor and roof of my '74 Dart Sport, before I lay in the new carpet and headliner. I know about Dynamat (very expensive) and jute padding. Any other suggestions?

The ruberized spray on undercoating will prevent rust and help sound proof it too and it's cheap. You can even get it Advance Auto and most any parts store.

What about thermal insulation? Any ideas?

I've always used a foil faced insulation. It has foil on one side and a 3/8 jute type material on the other side. Available at most swapmeets or JC Whitney. I glue it to the floor and then seal the seams with a foil tape. Jute and carpet pads go on top of that then. For the roof I've seen but never tried a foil faced air bubble type used. Available at a building supply store.
