noisy engine
I was driving the car last night and I noticed a sound coming from the engine that was not there prior to last night. It sounds like a noisy valve train, ticking sounds that increases with throttle.
here is what I am thinking: 1) Low oil level (but checked and added oil to full) 2) incorrect timing (will check tonight with timing light) 3) rocker arms out of adjustment 4) worn valve stems 5) loose exhaust manifold bolts or nuts causing exhaust leak 6) worst case: piston slap what are your thoughts? Check the rockers and adjust if needed. If thats not it,use one of them stetoscopes or a stick and try to figure out were the noise is coming from.

It's not uncommon to have a cracked exhaust manifold!
