Skip the coil, it wont matter much unlesss you plan to use an msd box and then I would use there coils.

For an easy 400 plus hp, get you a Weiand Action plus, and a thermoquad. Both can be had for around 189 a piece. Intake fro, Summit and the carb from Advacne auto with life time warranty. For headers use 1 5/8 street headers and make sure to put an x pipe in your exhaust system. They add aas much as 40 hp and loads of bottom end torque. This is one part that is a must and gains both hp and tq. IF you dont mind pulling the heads, for about $40 bucks you cna get he heads milled .035 to increase your compression. For a cam get a dual patter cam. One that has a different duration on the intake and exhaust, like a 272 intake and 276 exhaust. It helps the heads breathe better on the exhaust side.

Thanks for the ideas, I really like the idea of the new intake and carb, with the 6 pack scoop I have on it it will add to the performance of the carb and intake.

Thanks again,
john

Can I send my heads to you to get them cut? Cost me $300 to get a set of 400 heads cut 60 and the intakes cut to match

Nope they told me $150 to do the work left my heads and came back to get them and $150 per head. Not much I could do since they had my P&P heads and $300 was cheaper that an assault and battery

A local machine shop by me...As per there sign hanging in the window, "Strip your heads down and we'll cut them what ever you want @ $30 a head, intake side included."

It was to have read;
"Shootin fish in the bbl. again aren't we DWC.

Yea DWC, the answer / advice is like shooting fish in a bbl.

If duster_360_1974 is still here, I'd like more details of the current combo. I need to load my gun and shoot some fish in a bbl too.

Knowing more about what you have can help us in equipment upgrades.
