Question holly oil pressure safety swicth?

Does anyone know what the termanals go to on the the back of the Holly oil pressure safety swicth 12-810 for a electric fuel pump? There are three termanals, two of them are close togeather and the other is straight across from the two. Does it matter which one you hook up to? Wheres the best place to get the power from, coil...? starter relay...? Whats the beat way to hook these up?

im going to take a stab in the dark

0 oil pressure motor off
get an ohm meter
see what 2 pins dont make the circuit complete
start engine, see if same 2 pins now have close to 0 ohms

connect to those 2 pins

not sure what 3rd pin might be for unless its a sending unit/safety switch or maybe a dummy light ground.

Like i said it guessing here since i dont know the switch offhand

3 terminals would most likely be.
1)common
2)normaly open
3)normaly closed

Look closely they might be marked "C", "N.O.",and "N.C."
use an ohm meter and two terminals sould have continuity (C and N.C.) and the other terminal(N.O.) is open with no pressure on switch.
When pressure is applied to the switch continuity should switch to between the common (C)and the other terminal (N.O.)that was open before. and the one (N.C.)that had continuity with the common before now should be open.

The best way to connect would be to get power from a source thats on only when the key is on. From this power scoure put a fuse, the pressure switch, and the fuel pump in series then hook a ground to the fuel pump.

Sorry about the double post but the edit feature won't let you edit after 2 minutes.

You will want to hook your wires to the common and normally open terminals.

The normally closed terminal is for connecting something you want ON when you got low oil pressure like a warning light or buzzer.
