Question

hi,and happy 2000.i have power brakes on my rr with the 4 piston nitemares.all the brakes are redone except the power booster and rotors.there is a lot of cam overlap so i have very little vacum? at idle ,but the brakes are the pits even when i'm moving.since the booster is 32 yrs old i thought i would replace it but a friend said get rid of the booster and use a bigger master cyl. because of poor vacum, can anyone shed some rubber, i mean, light on this?thanks

Thumbs up

I've heard of people having no problems running power brakes with only a couple of inches of vacuum, but I *KNOW* what you mean about the 4 pistons being a bear to stop. My bro had the same in a 69 Coronet 500 wagon. For a booster rebuild I *HIGHLY* recommend:

Ask for "Ray." He does excellent work for a fair price. If he can't fix it for you, he knnows where to find it! He's done 3 or 4 for me & all have been great.

Hey, post #50! Now my status will change!
