rolleyes2 priming new 318?

Does the mortor have to be moving for the oil to get up to the rockers? I primed it but don't see any oil on the rockers.

The top end only oils when the oil holes in the camshaft line up with the oil passages in the block. Have a buddy turn the engine over slowly (use a socket wrench on the crank bolt) while you prime. Make sure you get both sides, they use different passages.
