Click here and scrool down and read.
http://holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLine/Pr...SM/300-14.html Best thing is it accepts a T-Q if you wished. Of course, theres there dual plane unit as well. Slightly taller. http://holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLine/Pr...AMSM/8009.html |

Single plane intakes are most used in the search for HP with aggressive cams etc... This unit faired best overall in a MoPar Muscle shoot out.
I was surprised because of it's mello (Even more so because of it's,) single plane design. Low short runners, shallow plenum. A single plane can also be a good choice in seeking out best Hwy. mileage. Reson is it breaths very easy. The duel plane is very good in around town traffic and everyday driving. Better in low end torque. This makes stop and go traffic more bareable. Is the car heavy? Duel plane is the rule. |

Strange how both these intakes are rated idle to 6K considering they are radically different in design. My bet is that the small port volume of the single plane intake really helps the low end and the single plane design helps up top. For throttle response, I would go with the dual plane. It will have a stronger vacuum signal to the carb and it matches your carbs square bore. I personally have the Street Dominator on my 451, but Ill help the low end velocity with the TQ's small primaries.

a slightly worked edel performer would work or the above mentioned. performers can be had a dime a dozen but really, your gonna want more anyways so why not go with a single plane or highrise dual plane?
if you can't get the holley to run right the demon isn't gonna do anything different for you except make your wallet a whole lot lighter. you could put a nitrous system on there for the price of a demon. |

Performer RPM is the ticket as a very good all around dual plane that acts much like a single plane at higher RPM's....
I run it on my 9:1 440 in a 3700LB Challenger... I've tested with 3 different manifolds and this one worked best....for street and drag racing combo... |
