Extra spark plug wires in the box?
I ordered a set of Accel 8.8mm 300+ race wires (part number 7045) for my 440. When I opened the box, I found a total of twelve wires (one from the coil to the distributor, and eleven spark plug wires). Nine of the spark plug wires have 90-degree boots, and two have straight boots (the straight-boot wires may be adjustable - Accel refers to them on the box as "variangle" boots.)
What's up with the extra wires? I'm not complaining, but it seems strange. Three free wires in a box of eight is a heckuva deal. Nothing on the box or in the paperwork says anything about the extra wires. Scott Gardner |

So you got extra wires in your box as well? Seems like Accel would advertise a bonus like that.
"Now from Accel - 37.5% more plug wires free with every purchase!" Scott |

One set to cover different manifolds/headers. Some are 90/variables and some are straight, right?
