Whats a 1997 Neon SOHC 2.0L five speed...Horsepower/torque ratings?

yo man wuts up? The 2.0 SOHC motors come w/120hp and I think 120ft/lb. The DOHC motors got 150hp and 150 ft/lbs. I know the horsepowers are accurate but im not to sure on the torqe. I have an auto w/ cat-back and a cheap intake and ran a sad 18.00. Now a guy w/ a 5 speed and similar set-up ran 15.5 cuz of the gear ratio.

i own a 98 rt 5-speed dohc. with intake and exhaust. runs 15.11. this is a two door. unsure of hp ratings.

My cars a 4-door...so I doubt its that fast...though I bought with some after-market muffler on it, sounds cool..don't know if it helps any though.

I was talkin to my Brother and he said the fast Neon he knows of runs 7's. I Don't know what they did to it to make it that fast though.

Hey whats the gear ratio of a five speed in these cars..I know fifth is tall.

hey man i don't know the actual ratios. i know 1,2,3 are very good pulling gears. first and second roll out smooth. the the shift in third is a little slugish, then the neon realy pulls. till about 95 mph, you have to hit fourth, witch is the highest gear the car will pull in. 5th gear is useless ecept for goog gas mileage.

a seven second neon is the pro street drag car. no way to be duplicated. masive money and just race car.

the sohc neon has 117 hp to the wheel stock. i dyno mine before i did any thing to it. now i got 187.6 hp to the wheels. also it is a four door
