Default Blue Box?

Ok, I have a blue ignition box I found at the wreckers. I know black=stock, orange=street, chrome=race, gold=drag, but what does blue mean?

ok, so would this be an improvement over the lean burn system? Or is it even possible? I was thinking using this box, and then eventually getting the chrome one... I tried to figure it out, and there are soooo many damn wires, it's really confusing! Or is it way better to go with the MSD? Any help (wiring diagrams, etc.) is appreciated!

So many wires? There are only 4 (or maybe 5) MSD is easier to wire, no ballast; just a HOT, ignition hot, GND and 2 electronic distributor wires or just one point wire. I think Blue is aftermarket stock.

This is a car with lean burn, there are 4 million wires in the engine compartment... I was thinking it was aftermarket stock, too.

Removing the lean burn will also require a replacement distributor. I would recommend contacting FBO Systems. They've got a great ignition system that looks stock, but will blow away the MOPAR boxes and give the MSD boxes a run for the money.

I would get me an msd box. Easier to wire up and toss oput he lean burn. That's the biggest piece of junk ever produced. You wont need to replace anything to wire in an msd box. You use your stock dist and coil with msd box and wire harness. And it will have easy to read detailed instructions too. We run the msd on almost everything we run.
