Roller, Hydraulic or flat??
I am currently researching for a 451 build this summer for my 87 Dakota and am not sure wht type of cam, rockers or lifters I should use. This will be mainly a street truck so it has to be reliable. Should I use a Roller setup , flat tappet or hydraulic? Also has anyone ever used Schubeck lifters? if so what type and what is your opinion??
PS I am wanting to run low to mid 12's posiibly high 11's down the road. |

I would hope 1320 feet, if its just 660 feet, then just drop in a stock 318 and it will do better than that. Those shubeck lifters will cost as much as rollers so why not just go roller. I like solid lift cams, there very simple in design and do the job better than the Hyd, which doesnt work very well above 5500 rpm's.
