Default C Body, A engine headers

I am in the process of replacing the 318 in my 68 Fury III, and after fighting the completey rusted exhaust system last night, I was wondering if anyone makes headers for these? I didn't see anthing in the Hedman catalog, everything but a C body. I saw someone was making headers for RB/Hemis in a C body, but not for the A motors.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Most likely a B body header will fit it too.

i distinctly remember reading in the online hooker catalog that the supercomp header for small block b/e body will fit 65-72 c bodies as well. check it out.

Thanks for all your replies! I have an old set of B body, A engine headers from my 65 coronet. I'll give a them a try, and post the results for any others foolish to try this. The only hang up I see possible is the shift linkage, but that's easy to check.

By the way, I found 50 horsepower in my old exhaust manifolds. The flapper in the pass side manifold was rusted closed!

Thanks again!

Tony

The coronet's getting a 400 stroker. The 426 max wedge would be cool though. My brother is building a 63 4dr hardtop max wedge clone (he likes to be different). I'll check with him if you're looking to sell it.

I had a chance to try the b body headers on the c body, and I can say that at least the ones I have (el cheapo brand) don't fit. The driver's side hits the pitman arm (right turn only!). I can see how B body headers could be made that would fit a C body, however. And yes, Hooker says that their B body header does fit C bodies. I am going to stick with the cast iron manifold for now. Freed up the exhaust damper and sand blasted them and now they don't look too bad. And they're in my budget!

Thanks for the input,

Tony
