Default My new engine

Well my 360 is finally done.We bored it .60 over, opened up the combustion chambers and installed 1.60-2.02 valves.A fresh set of Hyperutectic flat top pistons, a Howards cam with matching springs topped off with an Edelbrock Performer intake with a 600 Eddy carb. The engine builder estimates 400 plus H.P. at the flywheel.I was wondering if the intake and carb are gonna be enough.Any suggestions?

I think a Performer intake and 600 CFM carb are just right - for a mild 318. You're never going to see 400HP with that combo.

Go for the Performer RPM and a 750 CFM carb, preferably a Holley or Demon. A TQ with the correct adapter could work also, but you need more hood clearance.

DO NOT use the eddy if you can keep from it, but if that's all you have and can $$ right now use it but start saving for a better carb BG would be right up there at the top of the list or a TQ if it will fit you application.
