The dealer. P5249550 is hte part number for the mounts. These are the best mounts you can get for your F body and should net you a big feel in handling in your car.

You'd may want to pick up the June 2004 issue of Mopar Muscle.
This month and last month they have a project on an 89 Dodge Diplomat Police Cruiser. This month they are workin on the suspension, lots of good info on sway bars and other such, and they covered K-frame bushing problem.
They said they got a set of Polyurethane bushings for their car at Just Suspensions and the solid cast-iron Mopar Performance bushings are no longer available. Interesting article.
Sorry, I dont have web site info for Just Suspensions but phone number is (973) 808-0066 and they are located in Fairfield NJ.
The current issue of Mopar Muscle has a beautiful yellow 71 Roadrunner on the cover.

question, where do these bushings go? Im using 3/4 nuts for spacers on my solid mount 451 K and a little vibration control maybe just enough to get an image in my rear view mirror...

Actually, my family tree has quite a bit of branches! I'm a real hillbilly mongrel with ancestors from all over!
But I have to admit, the pic I put up there does have a certain resemblance. My belly sticks out like that in my t-shirts and I have big feet as well. Maybe I should have put glasses on him, lol!

My understanding was these replaced the original rubber bushings between the K-member and the floor pan.
I remember this used to be a real problem on these cars here in the hills. Tween salt damage on the connecting pieces plus rough roads, they just didnt hold up real well. Dont get me wrong, the car would stay together, just would be pretty rattley.
I know a lot of the pure stock racers who used later Cordobas or similar would just weld everything up and tie it into the cage.
Not really an option on a street car. I guess with a 451 vibration may be a problem!
Actually, from what I've seen its not that big of a job IF the bolts and hardware come loose. If not, then you may have a fight on your hands!

Thats ok, us beauty challenged folks make up with charm for what we didnt get in looks. Thats what I tell myself anyway!
Luckily, dont need the glasses except to read. Its things close up that give me problems. Of course up under the car close to the floorboard like this bushing job could be a bit of a pain!
We havent fallen completely into off-topic land, have we?

Thumbs up yes we did

want to talk about vibrations just spend some time on a mid 70s harley sometime. They didnt balance those years very good at all,my 1980 has robber dampener in the front,it helps.A friend put fancy new style harder one on his and put the old one back on so he could use his mirrors again. And the ugly thing, thats why god invented beer.So ugly people could get laid too.

OK, I was exaggerating a bit on the 451 balance (within 1g) pretty smooth with solid mounts anyway. I just didnt know if the rubber went between the k and the sub frame or somewhere else.

Poly's are twice as stiff as stock rubber pieces and it will help quite a bit. If you want better handling, get the 1 1/8 front sway bar and the 3/4 rear sway bar from a police car and install them on your car. The handling will be greatly improved.
