sound cutting out at high volume.
Deck - Clarion DXZ735MP
Speakers - Pioneer TS-A1780R, 6-3/4" 250W 4-Way I have a 93 Grand Cherokee and this is all i have in there so far. i plan on adding alot more but thats going to be some time. but for the most part i think this setup sounds great at low to mid range volume. but if i turn it up it starts to break-up. Bass and treble start to sound like total crap. one of the things im thinking it could be is the factory wires to the speakers might need to be thicker. or the deck cant power them on its own and starts to choke. What should i do?!?! |

You're right when you say that the deck can't power the speakers at that volume. Get a decent 4 channel amp matched to your speakers' Vrms, and you're good to go.

Ohms of impedance
Better double check what your ohms are on the speakers and deck.I play bass in a band and you would not believe how many different ways there is to set up speakers. For example,my amp is 2 ohm, most bass amps are.So if I tried to run an 8 ohm speaker on it,it will fry stuff. If your deck is 8 ohm,non bridged, you need 2,4 ohm speakers,4 plus4 equals 8.Matching speakers to the deck makes all the difference in the world.might lose volume but gain sound quality.
