727 Trans Not Shifting to 3RD

Need some advice on my 727 Transmission........ Under full throttle applications the tranny shifts from first to second just fine and very quickly, in fact it makes the right rear of the car swing out very abruptly, however the tranny will not shift from second to third unless you let off the throttle......... Any theories and or recommendations would be greatly appreciated...........

That's primarily controlled by the kickdown linkage adjustment, unless there is something wrong internally in the transmission.

There have been many topics on the correct way to adjust this linkage, but it is probably best just to make adjustments and then drive it until it is right.

Same problem here, turn the adjuster clockwise one turn releive the throttle pressure, repeat this procedure until it shifts correctly. I am almost there.
