Default 440 ....How Big?

How Much can you overbore a 440?

Is 60 Thousandths about it? with HardBlock can you get more?
... And once it's hardblocked is the block worthless to bore again?.... Sorry about all the questions, I'm trying to decide which direction to go on my 440.....

Thanks in Advance...

it's really something you should have sonic checked before they start boring it. Some blocks are good for 60 over, and then again, some block suffer so much core shift, they should have never left the factory.

I'm just waiting to hear about the good block years. Ya know.. the "68 and 69's were the only good blocks", and stuff like that. it's all wives tales. When people like Dick Landy say there is no difference I listen, but when my neighbor says there is only one good year, because he's blown up all the other years, I count that as B/S.

Also, if you use hard block, won't that make your engine run hotter? I know it won't matter if your using it for a 1/4 mile car but a street car would overheat pretty quick eh?

Sorry... Race Motor only... Running Alcohol so heat really is not an issue on this car... I'm just wondering about the block I have.. I may get a different one... and start over... Has anybody ever gone over 60 Thousandths on a 440 or is that really the max one should even consider....
