Default Sloppy pinion yoke ?

I have an 8 3/4 rear in my satellite with the small u joint pinion yoke as well as the drive shaft end. My problem is I can grab the drive shaft and by sliding it towards the front and rear of the car I can see the bearing cup sliding as well, about an 1/8" . When I installed the rear end I had the same issues and had the shop install what they said was a good used one. I tried putting a bigger u joint on but it definately wont fit. Was going to try the split u joint to adapt but thats not the issue. Could it be the straps are worn out or the pinion yoke ? Also will this cause vibration at a given RPM ?

Default

you need the clips on your u-joints. go to the parts store with one of your caps and they'll fix you up.
