Default 318 flywheel

im putting a 4 speed in my dart and need to buy a flywheel for my 360. a guy told me today that he's heard of guys using 318 flywheels on their 360's. is that possible with the 360 being externally balanced? thanks if so then that'll save me 250 bucks.

hello, you can use the 318 flywheel on a 360. consult the mopar chassis manual to see how to unbalance it so it will work. ant compentent machinist can drill for you. I've done these before, it works.

Default used is good

check out www.car-parts.com

its a database of junkyard. got my 360 flywheel delivered to my house for under $60. might even be cheaper than having your machinist unbalance your 318 flywheel.

just a thought.

You would have to drill holes in the fly wheel for it to work. I believe it can be done The MoPar performance engines book has the details.

it sure can be done, ive seen some warp though due to the amount of holes, and how close together.

if you follow the book you should have no problems. It is exactly how the factory put the imbalance in.
