Default 1970 Roadrunner questions

Trying to restore a 1970 roadrunner and have a few questions. The power steering car, what is different other than the box, I hear the column is shorter, can a manual column be retrofitted. Have a question charger vs. roadrunner, the car I purchased was less the rear and tranny, have the original 383HP motor. Will a 440 bolt in and not interfere with the power steering unit, and I have a friend with a 1967 383 charger in a junk yard, is the rear compatible with a 1970 roadrunner or will it need rework. Hope somebody can help me out.

If you are converting to manual, you can just swap in a manual gear box and the manual column. There is also a company that makes an adapter for the PS column to work with the manual box. A manual column will not work with a PS box.

Yes, the 440 will fit with no problems or modifications.

If you go into the archives, you will find a chart with the
Axle Dimensions. Acording to that chart, the '67 B-Body rear is .687" (.344" per side) narrower than the '70 B-body rear. So, it should work. Just watch your tire clearance, when going to larger tires.

http://Manciniracing.com has the column adapter. At over $100 it's kinda steep.
