headman header steering column clearance
Ok, got my 318 and tranny and headers all bolted into my dart. Thing I am rather perturbed about is the clearance with the headers.... the driver side header is like 1/3 of an inch away from my steering column.. now is this normal ? I am concerned that the header might bash into my column if the engine torques over.

It's normal and if that engine moves that far, then it's your worn out mounts at fault. A lot of header clearence problems are due to worn mounts, improper ride height, tire sizes, and worn shocks and suspension pieces.
