Have to be at least as good as stock, and they are a hell of a lot newer!

Angry cat rods

I have a set for a 440 csr6760s. They are flat, striaght, pretty and wieght with-in 1/2 gram. They are suppose to be ready to go, mine were suppose to be for .990 pins. The pin hole is .988 and the pin will not fit. I called, they were polite and said it would be cheaper for me to have them machine locally than shipping to send them back. This was 6/3/04, I got there roller rocker to I hope they fit?????

I used a set of Cat 6.90" rods in the 440 stroker I just built for my friends '68 charger. Fit and finish were nice, but with a weight difference of 5 grams, they needed a fair bit of work to balance. They have seen 6600 rpm many times since the engine went together about 6 weeks ago-no problems so far, this engine is putting out lots of power. The price was really good too.................djs

Are those cat parts made in China? Stock rods are forged!

I bought a set of H beam rods from Ebay (race parts) and they are very nice and all with in a few grams of each other. the price was right at just over $300 shipped. They were much lighter and balanced closer than the stock LY rods I had. Now ask me how much it costs to have old rods redone, resized both ends, bushed on the small end, and new rod bolts... And putting togahter a stroker motor, you will like the compact big end size when reliving the block. Even if the need touched up atleast they will be much stronger new rods.
