Default 2.5 bolt patterns

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, this is my first time posting here. My question is i are all 1988-1989 2.5 blocks the same? I want to put a 2.5 Turbo motor in my 1988 Wrangler, which is a 2.5 also, the thing is i dont know what to do about a tranny and transfer case so i want to know if the tranny bolting patterns are the same although the Turbo 2.5 is front wheel drive and the 2.5 in my jeep is rear. Again, sorry if this is in the wrong forum but i just need an answer. Thanks.
Andrew

awsome, so if i take a turbo 2.2 or 2.5 from a daytona and put it in my jeep it won't be too crazy? im planning on re-wiring the computer so it'll just be a plug and play type deal, motor harness's will remain the same of course, but im going with all new gauges so its my own hook up. Any input on this is welcome. Thanks again.

Gregg, now that's sweet. A 2.2 with a 2.0 neon head nad a turbo. That thing should move in a really light car.

Just so you understand. The 2.2/2.5L engines in the Daytona are K car motors and are NOT the same as the Jeep 2.5 motor. The don't share anything. ZERO. You can't swap anything from one to the other. The Jeep motor is an overhead valve motor with pushrods. The Daytona motor is an overhead cam motor.

Also, I forgot to point out. They do NOT have the same engine to bellhousing bolt pattern so it is not a straight swap.
