Mine are fine. No issues what so ever... I'd return the bad head.

Core shift
Yes, I experienced some core shift with my Edelbrock Performer RPM heads. My engine builder was porting the heads and cut into the water jacket way before he expected to. He was porting the intakes on numbers 6 and 8 when it happened. He had the same thing happen to a Pontiac he was porting, too. He is NOT a fan of Edelbrock castings.

Edeljunk
If I could go back and do it over I wouldnt have wasted my money. Prep work on them were very crappy, they dont flow anywhere near 291/214. Not unless you work on them to get it out of them. And if you decide the full port then you can look forward to a WHOPPING 320 at 800lift. Will be selling mine soon.
