Default Shorted Coil

I shorted my coil positive to ground and now my engine won't fire. Could I have fried my orange box? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Your ignition box is probbably fine, but you probbably burnt out the ballast resistor or fusable link.

That lead doesn't run through the orange box, so the box shouldn't have been damaged.

Check the ballast resistor, and the coil lead. Either the ballast fried or you melted the wire.

The fuseable link isn't involved in the ignition circuit, so if it cranks when you turn the key, the link is fine.
