What year is your 360 ?

If you don't know how much was decked from block and milled from the heads, can you tell us what you told your engine builder you wanted your compression to be?

What are the specs on your cam ?

What pistons do you have ?

Sidlmopar,

You're not giving me much to go on here and since it seems that you have no idea what you have, you are forcing me to guess. So I'm gonna give you the cheapest way to try and solve your problem. If you had the block decked and the heads milled and you didn't make any considerations concerning your rocker pedistals, chances are you have a nasty rocker geometry problem. I am speculating that your rocker broke and the pushrod bent b/c the pushrods came out and got hung up on the side of the lifter causing the damage. I've had this happen to me.
Short of taking a head off, there is no way to tell what your piston/valve clearance is unless you have a good dial indicator and some test springs, which I feel you don't.
My advice would be to shim the rocker shafts .050 and try that. If your problem persists, you have to keep fooling around with the shims or take the heads off to check your deck height and have the cc volume of your heads determined.
Good luck !
