Default truck supercharger

I have a friend with a supercharger on his Dakota. He said I could make it work on my old 318,since it's on a 318 now. I think he's wrong. Mine is 68 and his is 89.

I was referencing the poll at the top of the screen. I don't really need one.

i would try eyeing out the existing pulley brackets and make sure there isn't a less noticable but still problem-creating difference in the mounting holes and such. the newer truck will probably look a lot cluttered under the hood which may cause you to miss a thing or two your first time checking everything out.
also, the supercharger designed for the stock 318 in a truck might be a little small for a warmed up 318 in an older muscle car, in terms of rpm range and the like. im sure with a couple changes in pulley sizes and maybe a custom line or bracket you would be able to pull it off.

another thing to think about, tuning.on the 68 the comp ratio is 9.2:1 while the 89 would probably be around 8:1. 8:1 is more boost friendly reguarding spark knock.the 9.2 (not as friendly) on pump gas. Just a thought.
