It SHOULD-but it dont know if it will match up right on the ports correctly, just have to try and find out.You can also use the intake gaskets for comparison.Last time I tried that the bolts fought me and it leaked oil on the ends.

It may or may not the 318 port window isnt as big or tall as the 360 port window, just need to check with some gaskets from a 360. If there is a mismatch the powerloss will offset the use for a aftermarket aluminum intake.

That is an old intake that has not been made for many a moon.
I'm, is it the low rise single plane intake with straight runners? |

Yep, super low rise, smooth curved runners (not a true X), and 318-sized ports. I'm pretty sure you can open them up to stock 340/360 size, but you'll be stretching it to make them match the gasket dimension of a 340/360. IMO, that would be defeating the purpose of the Street Dom manifold, anyway. It is pretty good at keeping velocities up, so I wouldn't go past the stock port window of the big LA heads. I'm sort of toying with one for an EFI conversion, but they sit so low, I may not be able to get around the interference with the fuel rails without a giant spacer...

If its for a 318 I would think twice

it says
318/360 on the intake manifold, so i would assume that with a little port matching it would be fine....but i could be wrong, has happened a time or two before

Do you have a gasket to set up against it for comparison?

Only thing I would hava against opening the ports up to 360 window size, is there still going to be bottle necked due to the fact at the hole runner's lengths cross sectional size is 318 style, seems this would still be a bottle neck. I thought about doing tihis years ago, for a 360 engine I assembled, I had a nice old edelbrock Street master intake, belive it was a single plan. You could see the port size was much smaller than even a stock cast iron 340 intake I had laying around?? It would probably do ok. It may render the intake useless for a resale, in the future, The iintake could be sold or traded, Id like to have it my self.

I dont understand why it would say 318/360,it should be one or the other.I know eddy makes an aluminum intake for 351/400M fords that has such small intake ports that its a joke.

My dad's a Ford truck guy, I like ok myself too, I have rebuilt a few 351 modifieds before, and the last one I built was a 400 .040 with shaved heads, and decked block both .020. should have made good power, but was a pig, Figured the extra 1/2 stroke over the 351M would have made good torque but it didnt, The only diff between the two are cranks. They will run forever though. Got one with about 400,000 miles on standard block, factory pistons, it was reringed and had a valve job, at 200,000 miles. Thing burns oil pretty bad now, but still runs good. |

Hate to admit it but I worked for furrd back in the mid 80s.As far as their engines go that series has some good points,no friggin bypass hose to blow like the FEs(390) and the same head design as a 318 poly.Have seen a couple than ran strong but mostly dogs.

i dont know
it says 318/360 right on the intake manifold. Maybe i oughta just use my stock 360 intake when i pull it from the junkyard, and sell the performer on ebay or something, i dont know, marc, what do you think? I have been told that i could probly get more flow from my stock manifold anyhow.....

I dont have both off right now to compare them, the eddy ones I have are still installed.I do have a stocker off though-its an EGR type but in the right years. If the runners are larger on the iron one and its spread bore too it would be my choice.

Hughes engines is port matching a performer intake to my 340 X heads. I am running their cam and they say the performer is the best match for the cam. I am running the 1423 cam that has I think 480/504 lift and 214/223 duration.

Don't think that SD intake was available in 318 size ports. I should be fine w/o opening up the 318 head intakes. The SD was available in 2 versions. One is a single plane and the other looked identicle except it had a for lack of a better name "balance" tube that ran across the rear of the runners between #7 & #8 runners. Never heard much positive about them. Eddie Streetmaster? Single plane POS that who knows what it was for?

I just put one on my 318 , the ports are 318 size. I'm sure there are better intakes out there but this made a major improvement with a 625 AFB over the stock 2barrel/intake.
