Default B-body shifter in A-body

Will a B-body automatic shifter mount up in an A-body? Thanks

Question

I'm not sure about your question. But, have you considered an after market racing type shifter? Hurst rachet or detent shifter?? Your obvisouly not worried about stock appereance, thats why I ask.
