how much does a complete 360 weigh (minus carb/exhaust), i estimated about 500 lbs., is that right, or am i way off?

Published figures show short block at 350 in crate and 56 for a complete head. Same book shows Magnum long block in shipping case at 540. Looks like somewhere between 460 and 540. Not quite down to the ounce, huh!

Found the following info in a forum from Argentina. Does not say if weight includes carb/exhaust.

as can be seen there is a lot of disparity in engine weights, some weigh the engine only, others include all accesories and installed in car
