Published figures show short block at 350 in crate and 56 for a complete head. Same book shows Magnum long block in shipping case at 540. Looks like somewhere between 460 and 540. Not quite down to the ounce, huh!

Engine weight
Found the following info in a forum from Argentina. Does not say if weight includes carb/exhaust.
From one source: Mopar 6 198/225 475 lb 215 kq Mopar V8 273/318/340/360 550 lb 249 kq Mopar V8 383/400 670 lb 304 kq 440MoparHemi 426 690 lb 313 kq and from another source.... Mopar Slant Six 475 215 kg Mopar 273-340 "A" V8 525 238 kg Mopar 360 "A" 550 249 kg Mopar 361-383-400 V8 620 281 kg Mopar 413-426W-440 V8 670 304 kg Mopar Street Hemi 765 347 kg as can be seen there is a lot of disparity in engine weights, some weigh the engine only, others include all accesories and installed in car |
