Thumbs up

There we go !!!! Yeah !!! I ALWAYS loved those big round fenders they put on early to late 30's cars / trucks. As a matter of fact about 20 years ago, I almost bought a 36 Ford (sorry Mopar fans) 5 window coupe. It was a sweet car - same great looks as yours.

Morpower:

You cannot post your pictures here (I believe) becuase AOL converts your JPG type files to a proprietary format called ART. Every picture hosted or requested be an AOL users goes through AOL Server's first were they are covnerted to this smaller lower quality format. This provides about a 15% decrease in file size, and about a 10% decrease in image quality. This results in a slightly faster laoding webpage with the sacrifice of image quality.

For AOL users to post a web page without compressed ART images, they must go to web browser preferences and turn off "Compressed Graphics". Clear your cache, resubmit your website to AOL completely and it should be in real JPG format.

I found this out on my Cars & Girls page when numerous users complained about the qualtity of my graphics. I found they were all AOL users, and then found out about the ART format. The image qualtity goes down even more the more your inititial JPG is compressed.

Cool

What I did to post your picture here was to get the actual picture address - and not use the AOL address. If you go to the site, and click on the picture - then (I think) left click on the mouse and look under "properties" - it will spell out the actual PICTURE internet address. I used that to post your picture here instead of using the internet address that got me to where the picture is.

Clear as mud ???

Hey, whatever works . . .

Question

DARTMAN - is that your website ?

I have been waiting for it to be updated and sent someone (is that you?) that has an .AOL email address a question about 2 pics at the top of the page - one of a truck and one of a Mustang (?) and the person I emailed said
". . . I found the pics (about 25 in all) and will be adding them to the web page
today or tommorow". . .

Was that you ??? What happened ?? I got that email on Jan 2nd and still not updated ???

Just curious . . .

Wink

Nice site - must be hard having to weed thru pictures of girls and cars

Thanks for the pics you sent.

Did you see how I got the address for picture of the 37 coupe, instead of using the AOL address ?? It works.

By the way, I lived in Davenport / Bettendorf about 22 years ago !!! Worked for a place called "McKays Music" as their band instrument repairman (don't know if they are still around or not) and lived about 2 blocks from the "Jumers Castle Lodge" in Bettendorf !!! Small world.

Sorry kinda got off the subject here.
