rear axle ID
Hello, I'm new to this site and the Mopar world in general.
I'm currently looking at a 69 Satellite for a project car. As I looked under the car thinking I was going to see an 8 3/4 there, but wan't. The rear has a bolt on gear cover, what could it be? By the way, it's not a Dana 60 either. Did Chrysler make such a unit in 69 or has it been put there from a later car? All in all the car seems to be all original and has been sitting for some time. Thanks for any help, Keith |

I'm pretty sure that it's an 8ΒΌ tha you have. I know that's what's in my '69 Coronet 500 convertible. In any case, why don't you take a look at the Mopar Rear Axle Spotter's Guide in the tech archives.

Just pay the $24 dollar dues and come to the meetings when you can. You get a news letter every month and some other stuff. Plus a listing of all memebers and free want adds. Our show was at Pinkerton Park this year. 2 days with 150 Mopars with everything from wing cars to Hemi's. Hope that it will be our new home. I'm in Shelbyville, but I work near you. Check out our site at www.musiccitymoparclub.com not sure if it's been updated since our show, but there is usually some good pics on there.
