Most of them are good quality stuff. Today, most of the rods & cranks are made in China, they keep the costs down. If I were to build one, I would buy a crank, pistons and rods from http://www.440source.com, but act soon since the price is going to change. I have heard good things about this places parts, they come from a different factory than Eagles and most others, and are a little different design. You still have to buy the bearings and rings separately, and have teh crank balanced locally to really make that a "kit", but that would still be my choice and at the same time all the parts would be inspected for proper dimensions. From an engineshop, this kind of kits with bearings, rings and the crank balanced tend to cost from about 2300$ up. Most of them use good quality forged pistons, similar level cranks & rods, so there may not be big variations in the prices.
