Shop Insurance question

So far I have contacted 3 companies, and none will insure my new shop because it is on a lot with no house. Does anyone know of an insurance company who will insure buildings without someone living next to it? There are neighbors, at least 4 within a few hundred feet in any direction.
The house won't get built til next year, or year after.

Homeowners policies are usually written to include "Land and buildings", which would normally cover a garage, but since there is no home, well you already know. Call an independent agent who represents many carriers. You might have to get insurance for a commercial structure, which doesn't require a dwelling on site. Have you researched on the web?

Park an RV on the lot and tell them you live there!!!

Make an office in it and call it an apartment for the time being. That should work.
