Well, call'em up as part of your homework. Then open up a MoPar mag and see whats what in there. Also, is there a local race track you can get to easy? That would be a great spot to ask.

Exclamation Where and how much?

Well Rumble fish is right goto the track and ask around. If you are going to drag race be sure to goto a drag strip and look at the advertisements. Then walk around the pit area looking for cars with narrowed rears or back halfs installed. Talk to them see who did theirs and see who they recommend.

If your are going oval (dirt of pavement) find a track that either sales pit passes or lets you wander around in the pits for free and ask every driver you can get to sit still long enough who does their work.

Then once you have a good list of people and places. Start with the most recommended and call everyone of them for an estimate. Be sure to state what the rearend is going to be used in (drag, oval, street, or etc...) and be ready to turn over your car or truck for a few days to let them do it. If you dont state what your rearend is for and they dont ask for your car you may end up with a housing that would work great in someone elses car! What I am saying is that they might not get the pinon offset right. Then you will be popping ujoints without an Idea why. You need to take the time and do your homework cause if you dont you are going to pay the price in lost time, broken parts, and loads of headaches.

Good luck!

Moser did mine

$95 to narrow an 8 3/4 housing. $195 for new axle shafts, $85 for timkin bearings. I was very happy with their work. Most of the local places that do it wanted the same price.
