Question K-frame interchange...help

I have a 73 RR with a 360. K frame is pretty hammered in the front. I have 78 Cordoba with a 360. The K frames look identical? Will they interchange? Maybe somebody out there has an interchange book or knows? Thanks for any help.

Should go-both are biscuit mount B-bodies.While you are at it install polygraphite mounts.Might vibrate more but worth it.

'73 should not have any rubber mounts in it, but '74 will. So it wont fit.

I don't know about "B" bodys, but this page http://www.engine-swaps.com/ suggests differently.
My Cuda is a old style frame right to the subframe.
My Magnum ('79") has the biscuits isolators.

'73 and up B-bodies used the biscuit type motor mounts. and yes, even the http://www.engine-swaps.com/ website confirms this.

What I was talking about is the fact that the '73 does not use the rubber mounts between the frame and K frame and the '74 does which means it uses a taller spindle.

If worse comes to worse I have an extra one laying outside the garage off my parts car (73 satellite). Though shipping would be horrible I would gladly sell it. =)

I would suggest the aluminum mounts that mancini racing has. I have these on my car and it gives it a better ride and seem to give it a more solid feel. Though the trade off is that it is a tad bit noisier and doesn't respond as well to bumps in the road. Good luck with the car!

I forgot to mention I own a 73 roadrunner as well. LoL

'73 IS rubber mounted. '73 and '74 spindle are the same.

Would you like a pic of one that's not. That's why the '73 is popular and no one wants the '74.

Well mine has rubber between the frame and k-frame. Picture attached. So now that I'm all confused, will the Dobas K-frame work?

Thanks again guys

I'm with him. That's always been my understanding. I had a number of '74 Chargers and I understand that's the reason that I couldn't get any performance shops for them.

Question: If you go Poly (or steel) how much better will it handle, and how much more vibration will you feel? Is it worth the difference? Some of these older cars have the biscuits totally smushed, so anything would be an improvement. Why not just use new firm rubber ones?

I ask because the biscuits on my M-body are worn. Here are my options.
.1- New firm OEM rubber
.2- Poly
.3- Aluminum - (there some debate over corrosion, when bolted to steel)
.4- Steel (OEM police issue, but hard to find)

My handling is not terrible at the moment, and I kind of like the "big-car" feel & quietness. Id hate to sacrifice that, just to get slightly tighter cornering?

dwc43...
I also have a 73 charger, I just checked, it does have the k frame isolator bushins, longer torsion bars, taller spindles, sure some parts are hard to find, on the pluss side, calipers are 13.00 at auto zone, rotors are 35.00, same place, how much is a disc brake kit to convert yours? or repacement calipers for a 66 to 72 b body? part of the reason I went with a 73 is that it offers readily available service parts, sure some things are hard to find, but it is still cheaper.......
If you have seen a 73 with a 72 k frame, perhaps it is a very early car......
