Default engine question

Hey has anyone ever used a timing chain tensioner? I saw them in my Mancini Racing flyer. Whats the pro cons? It looks like a decent idea for 100% timing at all times.

Good stuff, bargain price, slight pain to install, but worth it.

Great to hear from the been there done that club. Last question is how do the Mancini bolt kits compair to the ARP stuff? I still plan on using the ARPs for the mains and C-rods. Thanks again.

I don't know for sure, but I think there simply stock replacements unless otherwise noted. If there is any question to this, your best bet would be an E-mail direct to Mancini.

I don't know how the two compare, but if, as rumblefish360 thinks, they (Mancini's) are just stock replacement, I'd stay with the ARP's. I used them, along with ARP head bolts in my 440. Not all that expensive, less than a C note for the main's, rods & head bolt sets. Cheap insurance, IMHO.
